Kinks of Red Ink: Pandora’s Box

Just as there are twenty-six letters in the alphabet, so are there twenty-six facets to the colour of red ink.

This is about the colour of red ink when Pandora’s box is innocently found and opened.

Angry Needles...

Angry needles fly out chaotically from Pandora’s Box

Bolts of evil magic, bruising and tearing one’s soul into pieces

Corruption decays innocence and steadfastness

Darkening death blows of wretchedness

Exuding circumstances you never dreamed of

Foul trouble-making through word play and putrification of relationships

Granting gloominess to gather within the distressed soul

Heart of darkness is bored and has no censorship actions

Source

Impenetrable Inkiness...

Impenetrable inkiness spreads like pools of oil on fire

Jettatura is death’s shadow snuffing out the light

Kinks of red ink redline, nullifying one’s humanity

Lividity of red action, shoots arrows of pain

Mournfully extracting screams of felt hell

Nauseousness of anguish gushes through one’s red veins

Omnipresent devilry beyond one’s boundary and control

Poison running sorely and silently as silk

Source

Quashing One's Ability....

Quashing one’s ability to act, leading to a foetal position

Red tape marches through the world of one’s dreams

Snake in the grass, shadows a dappled trail

Trouble-making is the result of a malaise mind

Utterances of deceit flow seductively from the heart of darkness

Vale of tears are the entry point into a silent crumbling world

White van vindictiveness spurns widow’s weeds

X-ray extraction of private memories, infused with mistruths

Yellowed Ways...

Yellowed ways from done-to, by done-by

Zip up, or dark and dangerous will paint you as of zany stock

Kinks of Red Ink made me feel

Red has her strengths and challenges. Whichever way red is a invigorating colour to me. I especially love when I see red and white worn together. There is something clean, fresh and, full of earnest zeal to me here.

Beautifully expressed and thoughtful poem with deep meaning!

Red colour has so many variations. It means love, but it also symbolises war.

It means energy, but it also refers to blood.

Thanks for sharing this excellent poem!

Maybe Pandora's box did reveal all that was dark or foreboding. Maybe next time Pandora's box can let out those aspects that are of the light. I will work on that one.

I'm glad you enjoyed this poem, Isabella. Take care.
