“Kingfisher”

larger than life

smile borne from strife

calls attention

half toned carrot red

sitting high on throne

signals lavishment

an embellisher

who doesn’t flinch, condones

groaning atonement

guidance comes from

the silent polisher

the Kingfisher

The Kingfisher made me feel

      I wasn't aware Elijah. That's interesting.

I said that incorrectly, Huey Pierce Long (1893–1935) was called Kingfish, a Louisiana politician but saying "Share the wealth" in Louisiana was like talking to Donald J. Trump today.

The Kingfisher here was in part about a myth about someone having tio ask a question, the right question and couldnt at that particular time. Then life happened and he came back and asked the question that needed to be asked and he became a Hero .

if there was a politician with the Kingfisher's name and he sought to balance up the scales of wealth, then that is a good thing and that was a good find Elijah.

      Peace to You.

I was unable to get the meaning until I remembered the Kingfisher was a politician who preached “Share the Wealth”. Very well said now that I understand.
