I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida. .
I’d like to dance,
upon the waves of the sea,
like seagulls upon the water,
beneath the shining sun.
Like twirling leaves,
in the autumn
high up into the crisp, blue sky,
twirling and twirling,
weaving a colorful carpet -
on the ground beneath my feet.
In the wintertime,
like the lacy, silvery snowflakes,
blown here and there,
with my frosty breath,
making ice flowers,
on window panes.
Upon the clouds,
as they go sailing ,
across the sky.
Like dark storm clouds,
that roll along,
blown by the wind -
to the tune of lightning and thunder.
Through the raindrops,
as they come falling down,
before the rainbow appears.
doing a dance of joy in the rain.
when the spring comes anew,
flying from flower to flower,
in the summertime.
Along with bees,
as they buzz by,
like a tiny wood nymph,
among the shadows,
of the tall pines in the forest.
To dance among the shadows,
on a moonlit nights,
from moonbeam to moonbeam –
till the morning light.
I’d like to dance
and never stop,
delighting in all the wonders,
to dance across the night sky,
among the sparkling stars,
united with my love –
along the Milky Way.

GRL....This made me recall when I first met you & I commented about the Movie "Gypsy," with Natalie Wood, Rosiland Russell & Karl Malden. You told me that your Profile name was fashioned from the movie....
So, actually, I've known you LOVE to dance, but with your clothes on!! LOL..........Great poem. Paula
