Journey from Mind to Heart: A Poem
Countless books befell these seeking eyes
and a past pregnant with unfinished quests
with all those unnoticed blessings in disguise
well, there went this life throwing in more tests.
Still preying alertly for yet another sound
to come from Truth ever stingy and mute
swimming out of lies after almost drowned
with so much to debunk, so much to dispute.
Libertarian madness of studious mind
turning this world somewhat upside down
it could not have been worse if I had gone blind
despite all that crowd around me I felt alone in town.
From that well of some uncried tears
emerged a muse never known before
brought with it balsam of healing cheers
turning all those tears to wine forever more.
With a peeled off ego, its demands on others
every breath is now a sweet sigh of relief
no one to blame, nothing ever bothers
joy flooding mind and every belief.
Now, paying my debt to that child inside
by stopping that futile questioning life
I took him by hand for a happy ride
free from any turmoil, any strife.
So, if god shared his image with man
this child in my heart could qualify for it
both of them are following their divine plan
with the same purpose in heart - to explore it.
Well, there is no Truth beyond that heart
and that's why I allow it to always guide me.
Am I maybe dreaming, but I can't wander apart
from someone in my shadow always here beside me.
