Jamaica Vacation Marked By Iconic Sunset

The sunset is amazing on the beach at "Jackie's on the Reef" spa resort in Negril, Jamaica.

"My Jamaica"
Return to Jamaica
The native land of family
And generations before me,
I come as a native "Jahmerican"
Looking for my place in time,
On an island far away yet right at home.
As I meditate by the ocean,
The presence of my ancestors rise
And touch me on my back.
I feel the overwhelming connection,
Rooted in the 'souls' of my feet,
Grounding me in spirit to my people.
The richness of the colorful land
Filled my eyes with pleasure.
Bold and beautiful yellows and reds,
Found in exotic plants and foods,
Warm hues of brown skins of my people,
Glisten in the hot sun.
The spirit of the ocean moves the waters,
A blue-green shade unmatched by Crayola
Pierced my eyes with wonderment,
As I stared at the sea in awe.
The splashing current on the sands
Creates a paradise only found in my Jamaica.
