It's So Different

I know it will be my fault darling
I’m just holding on, it’s true
I’m trying to grow up
I thought I had until I met you

I like being your good friend
I thought it could only be a man
It’s the way we understand our weaknesses
For it to be a woman, I’m surprised you can

When a woman is your friend
The shadow is lifted from your heart
You learn to believe in mystery
And the time when we’re apart

You know I don’t need somebody
Always hanging around
But it’s so different with you
I need you, even if there is no sound

It’s a feeling I’ve never known before
I hope you can feel it too
We have to trust what we’re thinking
Words can’t always say what’s true

When a woman is your friend
The shadow is lifted from your heart
You learn to believe in mystery
And the time when we’re apart
