It's Gone for a While

Raizen is a high school student with numerous awards relating to poetry and literature as well as a literary writer for the journalism club.

Flickering,
At first it was far and few between
But it's gotten more often

The darkness.
It's growing around me, slowly.
Awaiting to consume as it dims

I dim . . .
I hold it in my hand, a final hope
But time is tick-ticking by

There's noises;
droning, of something living
In the abyss around me, biting at chance

This feeling
It's heating. Unbearable.
wapping around my skin, and my throat.

I'm fading
My consciousness, it's blurring
I can't stay, i'm going away, dazed

Then
it comes back on.

Here's the inspiration!

This poem can really be a metaphor for a lot of things, such as a growing darkness within you, mental illness, sadness, depression, loss of hope. But in actuality this poem's true inspiration is just a Blackout we had a few days ago XD I thought of it while I was in my room, running low on phone battery, mosquitos a buzzing, and sweating like crazy! But I also drew inspirations from a few horror games and movies like FNAF and Don't Starve where lights are very important and without it can be bad
