It Hurts

ithurts

Tonight screams layered heartbearts

Then you were messaged with frequent beats

Is it beating you? Won't you understand

Will you even stand?

Look back in the mirror, there's nothing to see

Except you walking away, from me

Though, if I may, resolve isn't what was intended

Negates the passion between us

The love that bury's beneath forgiveness

Have I ever, my heart, denied your prosperity

It laughs. Ah, yes. At a loss of perspective

you've indeed no clarity

Because it hurts, this experience

Pain is temporal though makes such difference

The pain is palpable in this poem.
