It Is Difficult to Forget!

Preface

There are good times in life, there are bad times as well. We are always told or advised to forget the past but that is not an easy thing and in fact not possible. We are humans, memories are integral part of our lives. How can we forget so easily?

It is difficult to forget!

The time we had together,

The tide we sailed together.

In my mind it is set,

It is difficult to forget.

The sunrise in the East,

The sunset in the west.

The birds chirping in their nest,

It is difficult to forget.

The sweet fragrance of garden,

The life was such a fun.

When we first met,

It is difficult to forget.

I agreed with you,

You came to me.

Things were nicely set,

It is difficult to forget.

The dark clouds,

Came from nowhere.

Here, where we first met,

It is difficult to forget.

I did't know,

When our paths separated.

As if we never met,

It is difficult to forget.

Very true and I agree with the theme of the poem. It’s not easy to forget. Even if we forgive, to let go or move on, we can hardly forget. It’s the memories, which keep coming back, to disturb us.

Nice poem, well expressed. Thanks for sharing.

It is very difficult to forget, I think because when we meet someone important to us and stay together for a while, we are changed and we can never go back to who we were before we met them.

True words ! We always cherish Happy times and feel pangs of bad times. As time moves on, we regain our equilibrium with regard to our sad feelings and move on with the flow. I like this nice poem.

Wonderful. I like the sentiment. I have tried to forget things. Never works for me. But If I just let go then I seem to forget. And then I nourish the good. Perhaps we only have so much room in our hearts. And filling it with love just leaves no room for bad memories.
