I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.

Made in China
Made in China

I just bought this designer watch.

I woke up this morning to see the color stripping and threw it in the trash

I got so mad, took it back out and went straight to the seller

I argued and expressed my displeasure

He said to flip the watch and look at where it was made

It was made in China and hence of an inferior grade

He asked me if I wanted a replacement the same day

I told him only if it was made in the USA

For my birthday my girlfriend bought me a wallet that said genuine leather

I accepted it but a bit sad because that leather was probably an animal's mother

I slipped out my Five dollars and put it in my new wallet

And surprised her with a gift of her own, a nicely engraved locket

I decided to stop down the road and get her an ice cream cone

Pulled out my wallet and it disassembled and let my five dollars flown

I inspected the wallet with all the stitches were missing

Made in China was engraved, We looked at each other, laughed and simply started kissing

My friend bought a Laptop the other day online

He thought it was cool, a new gadget was fine

He received his purchase and was ecstatic and on a high

As he plugged in the laptop the circuit board started to fry

He jumped up and unplugged his new time bomb

Sitting there scratching his head and wondering what went wrong

Then he pulled off the battery and looked at the sticker

Made in China, if he could, he would give his own butt a kicker

So the other day we were hungry and decided to have a home cooked meal

Someone came up with a bright idea of doing Chinese

We went and bought some raw shrimp and rice

We looked up herbs and spices for the meal to be nice

But upon cooking we noticed that the rise began to stretch like Richard Reid

Something strange we just could not believe

Upon investigation we were told the rice was fake

Made in China, again for goodness sake.

It seems like there is no way out, We are tucked in

China indeed is now is the King of fake making.

So don't bother to inspect that roller coaster that has you swaying like a willow

Chances are it is Made in Chine, psst...see you in the after life my good fellow.

Now Clive I admit to buying nasty cheap dollar store stuff. But I buy them there when I expect them to be disposable after one use. I just threw out my vice grips. They clamped something I was gluing. Into the recycle bin before they hurt something for which they supposedly were designed.

I love your fun style buddy.

A nice, entertaining post. Enjoyed reading it. It's true. Beware of Chinese products which they sell at very cheap prices to compete in the markets. We are demanding a ban on those products, here in India.
