Is This Madness or Love?
Ravi is a traveler and foodie who loves to visit off-the-beaten-track places and understand the culture, history and customs behind them.
Inspired by Brenda Arledge’s word prompt challenge(week 5), This is a tanka poem that talks about the madness of love. As the great philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche has rightly said.
“There is always some madness in love But there is also always some reason in madness”
Your warm fingertips
fuel firestorms of passion
Is this madness or love?
Tonight let me quench those flames
inside a goblet of wine.
Your amorous voice
shatters numerous lanterns
Is this madness or love?
Tonight let me light lanterns
inside a goblet of wine.
The arrows from your eyes
again open unhealed wounds
Is this madness or love?
Tonight let me heal those wounds
inside a goblet of wine.
The blush on your face
unleashes violent waves
Is this madness or love?
Tonight let me calm those waves
inside a goblet of wine.
I thank the Lord that
your love still blossoms flowers
Is this madness or love?
Tonight let me celebrate
inside a goblet of wine.
