A tanka poem that talks about the madness of love

Inspired by Brenda Arledge’s word prompt challenge(week 5), This is a tanka poem that talks about the madness of love. As the great philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche has rightly said.

“There is always some madness in love But there is also always some reason in madness”

Your warm fingertips

fuel firestorms of passion

Is this madness or love?

Tonight let me quench those flames

inside a goblet of wine.

Your amorous voice

shatters numerous lanterns

Is this madness or love?

Tonight let me light lanterns

inside a goblet of wine.

The arrows from your eyes

again open unhealed wounds

Is this madness or love?

Tonight let me heal those wounds

inside a goblet of wine.

The blush on your face

unleashes violent waves

Is this madness or love?

Tonight let me calm those waves

inside a goblet of wine.

I thank the Lord that

your love still blossoms flowers

Is this madness or love?

Tonight let me celebrate

inside a goblet of wine.

You've combined Ramakrishna and Rumi for that piece, Ravi. Sweet, like wine itself. Great job with Brenda's prompt. Make it unique, more creative next time, but I do like the refrain. Peace.

Ravi,

You have penned an excellent poem for the word prompt "Madness".

I wasn't expecting a love poem to describe madness, but your words have painted it beautifully.

I will add this link to the article.

Have a great day.

Excellent poem and a great response to Brenda's word prompt challenge.

You have done well, to express how, Madness and love are corelated.

Thank you for sharing.
