Inside The Train

I’m never not ok but I don’t always feel the same
I can’t put on the back track what rides on the train
It’s strange to think but not know what I’m thinking
I draw soft lines that wait for the tide to start rising

I thought your mind only wandered but I know it runs
Checking in on your life, I have to take it as it comes
A solitary traveler sitting still, always here, always gone
I only know how I feel, I’ll try to figure out if I’m wrong

You got to see things my way
I’m not saying I’m all the way right
Just don’t say I’m all the way wrong
If you can’t figure me out this time
I’ll give back what I thought was mine

I’m not going to be angry
But you have to give me disappointed
I’m saying I’m confused sometimes
Whatever it is, it’s not always what I wanted

What the work really does is keep us together
I don’t know any other way to draw you near
But it’s not really work if you love someone
It’s seems that way if the tracks aren’t clear

You got to see things my way
I’m not saying I’m all the way right
Just don’t say I’m all the way wrong
If you can’t figure me out this time
I’ll give back what I thought was mine

I enjoyed that - I could hear the speaker's voice in my head as I read it!

Interesting lyrics Mark - I like the fifth verse, in particular the last line, which to me is the essence of the song. Now you have to come up with the music. I always enjoy your work.
