Past memories are a luring ally,
they provide, consultancy,
Time moves on,
never holding on for a second,
and yet, we hold on to past memories, frugal.
We wish to re-live, bygone moments,
yet nurturing a future that,
shove away our now.
Unless, we toggle the inherent switch,
and live for the moment,
we would miss the unknown bliss.

Oh yes we have to toggle the inherent switch and live for the moment. Wisdom in your words, great poem.

Hi Hari. You are wise. We live in the past and forget to live in the moment. I like how you refer to the past and present in the same stanza as if the persona cannot get the past out of his or her mind. Thanks for sharing.

Powerful wisdom in this short verse. Yes, I believe we all have that switch, but do we use it as often as it should be used? We could all help ourselves a little by doing so.
Th flow of the verse is promising. A great philosophical write.
