In my soul

Served in the U.S. Army, attended and graduated from The University of Texas-Arlington with a bachelors in psychology and minor in sociology

I wish you were here,
So I could have you near.
To chase away the fear
That lingers in my thoughts
Of losing you.
I wish you were here,
To feel my embrace
To remind you of my taste.
That always leaves you
Begging for more.
You're in my thoughts
And in my mind
Forever and always.
I miss you
Because you linger
In my soul

Thank you for the comment Peggy. Yes, the poem could be about those who have gone forever, never thought of it that way. Thank you again for the comment and visit.

Peggy Woods from Houston, Texas on March 01, 2018:

Beautiful poem to a loved one who is no longer near. My loved ones who have passed on often come to me in my dreams. Your poem could be interpreted in that way.
