In These Haunted Walls
Raizen is a high school student with numerous awards relating to poetry and literature as well as a literary writer for the journalism club.
Empty rooms, empty halls.
A soothing stillness, a deafening silence.
A sadness, a longing hangs upon these walls.
Floorboards creaks in discordant melodies
Steady drips like distant heartbeats
A strange and solemn harmony.
Echoes of a faded memory,
Of some long and distant tragedy
With only shadows to witness.
Yet comes a subtle tranquility.
Where present preserves the past
Frozen still in time, waiting to be found.
This home, haunted as it may seem;
Something one might see in a dream,
Or a nightmare. Tells its story,
A story of how it came to be.
A story created or could be by you or me.
A story that neither could have ever wanted,
That is the true tale,
of a house that’s haunted.
