We Are All Equal
Without help from technology
We can not work or accomplish much
There is nothing but time
To reflect on what we have learned
We can use this opportunity
To change our course of action or continue as we may
We can sleep and rest
Waiting for the sun to come up
We have one more chance
To live and enjoy the gifts from the heavens
In the absence of light
There is no right and wrong
All sounds are clear
We can only imagine what is to come
The hours pass
Then when the morning breaks
We soon forget where we once were
On with our busy lives
Old thoughts just become a lost memory
DREAM ON (author) on October 20, 2020:
Brenda Arledge I fought most of my life against new ways. Only to find out in the end I had no choice but to accept the change. Even though I like new ideas I like them on my own terms. I was one of the last people to use a payphone in the breakroom at work before they took it away. Everyone else was already using their cell phones. I told myself I don't need to have one and pay an extra phone bill every month. Over time I broke down and now I love not only the convience but the incredible camera that comes with it. Thank you for reading and sharing my thoughts on my poems. Have a superb day.
BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on October 16, 2020:
It's easy to get caught up in the day and forget things.
Memories are good to have though.
I'd like to think we could exist without technology, but it seems to be a part if my life.
I am typing this on a mobile phone which seems to be a daily routine...if it breaks i would be lost.
