I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida. .
As an enchanted rock,
that remains alone and sorrowful -
once you will become.
Then from this garden paradise,
lying golden under the sun,
you will never stray again.
As a companion rock,
to make you happy,
I must become.
Then beside you,
resting against you -
we will spend eternity.
All about the birds,
of paradise shall sing
and summer will never end.
Upon your head,
yellow wildflowers and moss will grow
and I’ll have a crown of wild roses.
There we shall sit,
side by side -
in love forever you and I.
I know there will be,
lovely melodies all around
and content we will be.
Then will come a day,
when the rains refresh us,
together we will rise -
dancing through paradise.

This tugged at my heart and gut before I learned for sure in the comments what I knew had to be the awful truth. It's a great work, and the inspiration from the rock picture is itself inspiring. Nicely done.

You are at your best when you write so many beautiful poems. They are easily relatable and so comforting at the same time. You make our minds think. Thank you so much for writing such inspiring thoughts. Have a great night.

An added note. The inspiration came from the photo of that rock. For some reason I liked it and I took a photo of the rock on my way back home in June 2017. In August 2017 my soul mate passed away.
