If You Feel It

There are so many sides
It takes a long time to know them
There's no order or direction
As long as you touch them all
Before the time that you’re gone

What was I living for anyway
Besides laughter and the night
It only seemed I had no right
To take my own life
So it was up to me to live on

So many nights spent alone
I know I thought about you
I wondered if you thought of me too
It took so many years to find out
You said no but your memory is wrong

I had to find out about myself
Now I know what I want
And it’s not at the corner restaurant
I will push it as far as it can go
You will feel it if you're equally strong

Thank you Brenda. Yes, it's about regret but there is also a hint that two people found each other finally.

BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on July 29, 2019:

Such a good write about the life you had, now realizing you want what you had but did not realize it at the time.
