I Was Lost

Author:

"I'm no Shakespeare nor Neruda I'm not a poet but I try to be I scribble a few lines And I call it poetry"

I was lost.

I was lost in the crowd of the broken

I was lost in the sea of people left behind and forgotten

I was lost in the fast-paced way of the world

I was lost in the darkness of my sorrow

I was lost in the depths of my solitude

I was lost in the chain of my adverse thoughts

I was lost.

I was the child left behind

I was the lover left broken

I was the shy, lonely, bullied girl

I was the girl seeking for attention

I was the wild child of rebellion

I was the prodigal daughter

I was the lost sheep.

I was lost.

I was lost and he has found me

I was lost in darkness and I have found the light

I was lost and he answered my silent cries

I was lost, I was broken

But I found love

I was lost, I was in pain

But I am healed

I was lost, I was trouble

But I am set straight

I was lost

I was lost in the crowd of the broken

I was lost in the sea of people left behind and forgotten

I was lost in the fast-paced way of the world

I was lost in the darkness of my sorrow

I was lost in the depths of my solitude

I was lost in the chain of my adverse thoughts

I was lost

I was lost but I have been saved.
