Poem: I Thank You for All

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

"God Will Make A Way" by Don Moen

Poem Summary

"I Thank You For All" is a poem about thanking God for being there. For being there at times when we don't know we need you; for teaching us patience & guiding us along the way; for reaching out with forgiveness teaching us compassion; for being in our hearts no matter where we go.

I Thank You For All

I thank you

for never letting me down,

for being there

even when I do not know

I need you.

I thank you

for guiding me along life's journey,

for teaching me patience,

for helping me

even when I lose my way.

I thank you

for reaching out with forgiveness,

showing me love?

allowing me to understand compassion.

I thank you

for being in my heart

no matter where I go,

I am a better person

with you walking with me.

Sometimes I just look up, smile and say, "I know that was you, God! Thanks."

Dream on,

Thank you for reading my work.

Your father sounds like a wise man.

I love your heartfelt comments.

Have a wonderful day enjoying life in every moment.

DREAM ON on August 01, 2019:

There are so much love and joy in all the words. If more people took the time to read this I am sure their life would turn out different. Instead, people will be people and find ways to be unhappy and dislike every day and everything. My father use to say... We can't control the world. What we can do is make our little part the best it can be. Each day I try to learn from him. Passing on love to the greatest degree. Have one lovely morning. May the sunshine be bright as a cool breeze refreshes your every move.
