I Wonder If You Do

I moved out to the country but I’m close to the city line
I’m not one way or the other, either side is just fine
I get my kicks in a crowd or behind a no trespassing sign
There’s no problem in living anywhere, just don’t live it blind

You can see how far you’ll go if you’re worried about food
Love and lust can’t feed you with clothes or in the nude
I wonder how many people really care about my mood
Bringing home the good, my spirit's strong as I knew it would

Tell me what’s true, tell me and then I’ll tell you
There’s no reason to hide, no reason to be untrue
Whatever you say to me now, just make it the real you
The real you, the one we can’t see, I wonder if you do

People say what they will but they’ll soon settle down
The preacher is the same as me, I’m the same as a clown
We still wear masks but our eyes now make all the sound
When I take off the scarf you’ll see what you never found

You walked past me and for a moment I thought of you
I’ll never see you again and your mystery will have to do
We’re all alone but I feel closer because I think you do too
Tell me how you really feel, I only need to know what’s true

Tell me what’s true, tell me and then I’ll tell you
There’s no reason to hide, no reason to be untrue
Whatever you say to me now, just make it the real you
The real you, the one we can’t see, I wonder if you do

Amazing! Wonderful! Sir, you have employed your emotions in an artistic way; and that's the way of the poets. I appreciate! Bravo! :)
