I Want To Be There

Has there ever been a day
Like the day we first met
What can I say to you today
That tomorrow will never regret

We work on our life each day
Our nights we never forget
We ride with the sun everyday
Then we rise the same way it set

All the paths for us are the same
It’s not that I don’t care which one
It’s that we’re on them together
Whatever happens I want to be there

I had no home except the next day
It’s not something that made me upset
What happened was one of those days
It’s something a man will never forget

An answered prayer never asks why
If God decides on us then the power is ours
If you have the will then love is the way

All the paths for us are the same
It’s not that I don’t care which one
It’s that we’re on them together
Whatever happens I want to be there

Thanks Demas... I was envisioning it as a bridge; a little shorter than the others. I'll see if I can think of a new line.

One verse just three lines seems a wasted opportunity. Maybe add another one? Love-ly poem so far.
