I Love When It Rains

"There are things that we never want to let go of, people we never want to leave behind. But keep in mind that letting go isn’t the end of the world, it’s the beginning of a new life.”

– Unknown

I love when it rains

It reminds me of Brisbane

You ask for my name

I love when it rains

I love you! You just exclaim

and I feel the same

I love when it rains

We sat by the windowpane

drinking our champagne

I love when it rains

Our love was never in vain

There's no one to blame

I love when it rains

You said goodbye on the train

but friends we'll remain

I love when it rains

Tears flow again and again

No one sees my pain

I love when it rains

I am unshackling my chain

I'll love once again.

"Sometimes the hardest part isn’t letting go but rather learning to start over.”

When it rains it pours...I guess that's the cycle of love washing away the tears from our eyes.

We cry in the beginning and the end. Sadness & happiness intertwine.

Lovely poem, with challenges expressed. The rain is indeed a soothing balm for the soul
