The Backstage Story
A collection of poems inspired by Brenda Arledge's word prompt "nothing" from her article "Word Prompts Help Creativity—Week 55." It's always a pleasure to respond to her word prompts with something new and creative. Thank you very much for issuing this interesting word prompt, Brenda. Enjoy!
Smoke And Flames
I no longer frown or smile.
I don't look up and down anymore.
I, no more sleep
I am like a stone with no shade.
I am as transparent as time.
Just as much lively as smoke and flames.
I erase myself until there are no traces of myself left.
Nothing, not even ashes, could be found.
Nothing! Not even a memory of you.
Nothing but the bliss of forgetfulness,
The obscuring breeze that wipes everything away,
Everything is ruined and pillaged.
The time has come to call it quits,
No more hopes, wishes, waiting, and fantasies.
I no longer fear the nothingness in which everything has finished,
Absorbed, disembodied, there no longer exists anything, not even emptiness.
“From the moment we are born, we begin to die.”
— Janne Teller, Nothing
Running On The Waters
I'm running on the waters,
In quest of the world's invisible axis.
There are no sounds or cries.
The truth of day flows into the night.
There are just the stars on the slate of the sky,
They watch the rivers flowing in the shade.
I, the friend of stillness, sit on the shore,
My eye is attracted to a giant star.
My search has lost me in the crowd.
I have a feeling I am nothing.
“Wisdom is knowing I am nothing,
Love is knowing I am everything,
and between the two my life moves.”
— Nisargadatta Maharaj
Sometimes Nothing Opens The Doors To Great Opportunities
The truth is that I have passed up some opportunities, and those I did pass up were for a reason. When it comes to making decisions, we need to trust our intuition. Missing out on opportunities we want is unpleasant, but missing out on possibilities we don't want is just as harmful to us.
The Universe will not punish us for refusing something we do not desire. It will probably open the doors to many more opportunities that may be a better fit for us.
If we live in a world where there is hope, we should also understand that we live in a world where there is always hope for achieving something better. So, whenever you feel like you're about to lose a chunk of something (almost a 'nothing,') don't be afraid.
Sometimes in life, you could get the chance to get something great out of that nothing. As they say, something out of nothing. Set your goals high and see great things coming from nothing.
Last month, I received a ban. I had a feeling I'd get banned for exchanging such comments, but I needed to clear things up and put the topic to rest once and for all. I received a little punishment for that. I won't go into much detail, but I respect the Team's decision, and most importantly, I know I lost nothing but gained something worthwhile.
I learned how many people appreciate and respect me. I tried my hands on Medium and found that I am more creative than I ever knew. I made some wonderful regular readers there, who appreciate reading my work. I started to concentrate more on my writing skills.
The community there is also lovely, just like we have on HubPages; the only thing I missed at the time was the chance to comment. I love HP, and now I like Medium as well. Both platforms have helped me grow, and I am grateful that even though I lost a small chunk of something, I evolved into something better. I turned nothing into something worthwhile.
During this time, I learned about many great things and started to observe everything in silence without saying a word. It was a moment of stillness, a time of nothingness, and a moment of learning.
HP has provided me with a great platform, some super good fellow authors, and wonderful friends. I am still thankful to HP, and I also want to thank everyone who kept an eye on me and supported me during this time. You are all wonderful!
“Anything can happen in life, especially nothing.”

Love Is From Above (Just an Extra Piece to Inspire You)
The storm has the potential to harm me.
My home, belongings, and everything were at risk.
Everything happens at God's appointed hour, and
I trust it is for the best.
My life's rule: always be truthful and kind.
Try to be the calmest person on the planet.
Do spend some time doing nothing. It is a work in itself.
Follow my advice and try listening to the voice of silence.
Love everything because the universe loves you,
You are nothing but a tiny piece of this giant cosmos.
Love is the most precious thing in the world, and
If it's for Love, just risk it all because 'Love is from Above.'
To love is nothing. To be loved is something. But to love and be loved, that's everything.
