Manatita is an esteemed author living in London, UK. He writes spiritual books, flash fiction and esoteric poetry, his favourite genre.

"In every kernel, every root, stem, branches and leaves,

Lies the presence of Spirit.

It dances in the breath-taking beauty and bewilderment of life." -Manatita

A Free Verse Sonnet

I Flung Myself, Into Her Effulgent Flame And Became Love.

You came, My Beloved, into the depths of my abyss,

Recycled the dark night that torment the soul.

Now I am like a garden of spring flowers,

Filled with the redolence of jasmines and daffodils.

Erasing my veil of darkness,

You poured Your celestial wine into my core.

Now my Heart sings with the nightingale,

Dancing upon the breath of dawn.

I said, “I just want to know you, my Queen,

To melt into Your Ocean of sugarcane juice.”

She said, “Come! For I burn with the fire

Of a thousand kisses, waiting to ignite the magic of thy lips.

The agony of Lovers has always been irrational.

I flung myself, into Her effulgent flame and became Love.

Manatita, The Lantern Carrier, 17th March, 2018.

A snow-white purity is the life-breath of God.

Seeing the child, it waltzes, like jasmines,

In the Heart of the mother's Love." -Manatita

Wisdom-quotes from the Master

"It is purity
And not insecurity
That has to take full possession
Of your heart." - Sri Chinmoy

"Only a purity-heart
Is permitted to pray
In the soul’s silence-temple." -Sri Chinmoy

While some people have made a lot of money here these cases are the exception. I got my first payment of $50 after 5 years.

Only in the sense that it offers a platform for me to reach friends and other associates. Some people make a lot of money here, but not with my style of poetry. I occasionally write prose, as I'm essentially a creative writer.

Yet my love is the Spirit; to serve and so I do not reach out like, say, Linda Crampton or Linda Lum. Both specialist, one with botany and biology and the other with food.

Hub Pages have been known to offer poetry competitions, but the topical, easy to relate to style is generally preferred and Hub Pages do not create categories. My poetry is radically different from most.

I have probably made about 50 dollars in ten years and there's close to another fifty in the earnings folder. My aim is to write a Magnum Opus of Poetry, very much like my spiritual Book: My Guru Sri Chinmoy: Life and Teachings. I have another called Maxims for our Children: A Look at the Teachings of Jesus, The Christ.

Thank you for asking. You're very kind.

    Dear Brother Manatita44,

Humbleness and the phrase "I don't know," are the beginning of wisdom. We all grow from such attributes. If I encounter a man or woman caught up in ego, I've encountered a frightened soul, a wounded spirit.

Sean is right. Your work is wonderful and spiritually enlightened. That's why I called you a "Spiritual Being." You are truly in touch with your soul and it shows in your work. After all, we are all flesh wanting to reach the highest levels of spiritual awareness before returning to Him.

    God bless you, brother.

    Yes, Eric.

Ultimately it is. We manifest in different ways, the same one Love. Just the way of things, I suppose.

    Brother Ioannis,

You think too highly of me, my Brother. I'm just a beginner on this Path ... an eternal student. Still, Guruji has given me some internal gifts. Higher blessings.

My gratitude to you for visiting this very loving Hub that I have done for you. This is some sentiment of Love! I have appreciated your comments on other works and especially Ioannis and I truly value your input.

Yes, I love nature too. Aren't the flowers beautiful!! Specially picked for you. Lol. Seriously, I was even inspired to write pieces for them as you have seen.

Thank you for sharing. It is God's victory when we can serve or inspire others and we lighten His burdens here.

My gift comes naturally to me. It is actually a gift from the Mother, I'm merely a channel. Finally, to understand my work requires a certain consciousness. So don't belittle yourself. I'm honoured to be in your sincere and honest company. Hari Om!!

Your word-painting skill is unique my dear Brother. This conversion of a lover's passion to the spiritual embrace is a fantastic way to describe Oneness, so tricky balance though! But you are walking on this high-placed line like the most capable acrobat of Love!

Every poem of yours is a great study to me. I praise God, through you!

You truly are The Lantern Carrier.

    Amazing quotes too.

    Om Shanti!!!

Another wonderful poem. I love the intimacy in your works. It reflects to me how important it is that while all love is one, it must be very personal.

Dearest Spiritual Being who share the Wisdom you have Gathered for us to learn from and prosper by,,

Not only does your words transcend the imperfect state of humanity and remind us that love is above and beyond gender, but I was honored to see the beautiful flower pictures you provided.

Our time, so short on this planet, is like the brief season of a flower's fragrances and visual appearance in this world.

I shared your astounding work with my friends, Manatita, and my phrases and words fall short with the deepest of respect I have for you. If He should provide me with even a mere hundredth of your tender expressions and thought provoking words, then I would be greatful..

Yet, He has provided us with you - a master poet who communicates with the clarity of "spirit" and "soul" vibrating in every line with a purity unrivaled.

    Deeply honored again,

Your brother across the physical ocean, but not the Stream of Soul,"

It's the boy and girl gender appearance of this poem that made it read as carnal words before I remembered, "man usually relate to divisions because they haven't integrated their femininity into their masculinity to become a complete being. So love is genderless god and the person someone, with or without a spouse and/or family, still tormented with longing for something missing out of their life. Thus, they surrendered "every fiber of their existence" into god and the light of understanding filled them burning away the torment of separateness by bringing them the balance between either their masculinity or femininity laying dormant within themselves.

By transforming the words into a metaphor it presented "the cure" to our longing be "the complete surrendering ourselves to god to be made whole" and, thereby, is quite attractive on both realms.
