I'm a Moonshining Poet: A Poem
I am a moonshiner selling you cheap booze
if the batch is good, you will come for more
and even if it's bad there's not much to lose
'cause you don't get better than you paid for.
Well, some of my booze is not easy to digest
and many must have ended with a belly ache
but you are not getting less than my very best
so don't you be too critical for a heaven's sake.
My refinery is simple, but at least it's clean
and I always taste of my every new batch
my price being best that you have seen
with friendly demeanor hard to match.
Hurry, hurry, just a few bottles are left!
for boozing hearts thriving on bad taste
it's costing so little it's practically a theft
everyone must have few cents to waste.
Hey, you fine lady, I've got you a hangover cure
when you taste my booze you'll forget your name
and you will feel so high and so confused for sure
that you may not remember who is there to blame.
I am just an everyday moonshining poet
with soul deeply soaked in spirit's aroma
so come again, everybody, don't forget
my booze will put you in a happy coma.
