Cheryl enjoys writing poetry related to her personal faith in Christ and the things she had observed in life.
Martha was busy preparing the meal
Mary made ready her heart
Just a few moments she wanted to steal
To glean from all He would impart
Martha complained she needed help
Preparing the drinks and meat
Mary decided her purpose was
To sit at the Savior’s feet
Mary knew it was more important
To linger in His presence and be still
Hungering and thirsting for righteousness
How she longed to be filled
Mary knelt behind Him
Washed His feet with her tears
Used her hair to dry them
Because she loved Him dear

The story of Mary's love expression is forever a symbol of gratitude. Thank you for reminding us.
