Homo the Exaggerator: A Satirical Poem
Here is medley of our silly traits
not to be proud, much less to cry
we are all in it as equal playmates
although not all might equally apply.
If reader is bored, my poem will be boring
and one selfish driver surely makes our day
when your wife snores, it's like world snoring
for, we like making things bigger in every way.
Bad news means the world is about to end
one tiny blemish makes ugly our whole face
we go to buy bread, but much more we spend
and hating a black creep we are hating all race.
One lousy lover and all men are scum
and one little defeat makes us a loser
don't get sued by looking at her bum
drink after dinner makes you boozer.
Turns public what you say in discretion
and having a view you are a harsh critic
slightest bad outcome calls for depression
and disliking a Jew makes you anti-Semitic.
What else did I forget here to mention
probably a lot that makes us so great
but let us not pay too much attention
let us try love, and forget about hate.
