Home And Listening To The Great Feeling Of Silence

Updated on April 6, 2020

So Peaceful And Calm

There is nothing better

Then coming home after a days work

When everyone is sound asleep

I feel the hidden joy

A comfort level of ease and satisfaction

Far away from the constant noise

Of people and there automobiles

There is so much more

Than any busy store

Lines at the bank

The must do work functions

That provide us with a paycheck

In return give us freedom in exchange

To live the life we always wanted

One day at a time

Gypsy Rose Lee Maybe they thought now is a good time for repairs when they won't inconvenience too many people. They can keep their social distance and still get the job done. Is the project going to take a few weeks? When it is all done it will probably look pretty nice. There could have been a water leak and they had to find it. Something that couldn't wait. Please take care of yourself and stay safe.

The city during our lockdown decided to create some noise. All week long they men were braking up our sidewalks on both sides and replacing. Our street is very short and very quiet and I did not know why they did this. Perhaps they thought it was too quiet outside

Devika Primic You have an incredible life so many people would love to have. Enjoying the beauty of nature and feeling free to do what you want when you want. If you do get sick how far are you from the nearest hospital? How far from a grocery store? I always love it when you share. I make the mistake and think so many people live the same way I do. Near any store and lots of people at any moment. I am about ten minutes away from everything stores, restaurants and gas stations, etc. Have a beautiful night. Thank you for reading and caring.

Bill Holland Sometimes I enjoy the interaction of peoples conversations and the many different thoughts people think. They are always a good source of information for any of my hubs. All I have to do is tune in and dig a little deeper. I go a little farther or make some twists so what didn't happen can happen. It makes every day a little bit different and not the humdrum routine people see and feel. Then if I have the time I am quite at home being out in my yard all day all alone. I can't leave out the constant love of my wife and encouragement from so many lovely writers here on HubPages. Thank you so much for visiting. I always appreciate your comments and your thoughts. Stay healthy and safe.

John Hansen I enjoy the great contrast of being busy and sometimes out of control. I have always found if I get any extra time during the day I take a quick nap in the car. Rolling down the window to catch a nice afternoon breeze. Parking in the sun to feel so warm and comfortable. Thank you so much for reading and sharing. Take care and stay well. Have a great morning.

Lorna Lamon When I am outside or at work, there are so many people coming and going. I have little control over what happens next. When I at home I know my wife and our cat will probably be asleep. Even the smallest sounds of a refrigerator humming or maybe the t.v. left on are so familiar and relaxing. I have always loved my quiet time. It gives me a chance to think of all the thoughts that rush through my head that I don't always have time to acknowledge at the time they come. Thank you so much for reading and sharing. Stay safe and make the best of every situation.

I live in a remote area so no contact with people. I am sued to this life and staying home hasn't affected me either. I work five months a year and 7 months I am home. I am self-employed and living in such quiet place it doesn't make much difference except for shopping which I am not used to wearing these masks and gloves. Fine otherwise. Quiet is good I hear the birds and enjoy sitting out in the sun. These warm days are perfect to be outdoors. Thank you for a brilliant hub.

This social distancing thing is my normal lifestyle. All is well in my little town. I hope this finds you safe and healthy!

They say our home is our castle and I always used to love arriving home after a hard day or nights work to relax and unwind. Nice poem DreamOn.

As our lives are usually so busy we sometimes yearn for that silence that is so comforting. For those of us in lockdown we now have time to ponder on what really matters and to start to appreciate those little things which we have taken for granted. I enjoyed this peaceful poem DreamOn. Keep well.
