I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida. .
Holidays come and go,
so very quickly,
leaving us with many memories and joy.
Holidays bring happiness and pain,
always golden memories shine.
Especially when we find love
and our hearts beat faster.
Loving hearts sing,
hoping to be together,
long after the holidays have gone.
Valentine’s is a holiday,
that makes lovers sigh,
lonely hearts ache,
with rivers of tears,
hoping to find –
a Valentine they can call their own.
Holidays like Christmas,
can bring both laughter and tears.
Reminding of those who have gone
and those who you long to be with,
but are far from reach.
Holidays come and go,
it has always been so,
but the one holiday that never goes away,
is the holiday in my heart.
It was upon the eve,
that the heartaches began,
when only memories were left,
of a love that was a holiday,
in each and every way
and it remains the holiday in my heart –
I celebrate with fond memories for all my days.

Rasma, this is beautiful. To have a holiday in your heart is a blessing, even when the one you shared other holidays with is gone.

Holidays and memories are so special with family and friends. I loved your hub. You can feel the love. Even through the sadness, there will be more happiness. Sending you and Sid and the whole gang lots of fun and excitement. Happy Friday.

Before I even saw what song you had chosen, I was singing the Bee Gees hit. :) Lovely!
