The Backdrop

Brenda Arledge, a talented poetess, an author, and a dear friend, gives us weekly word prompt to sharpen our creativity. This week, she has given us word “clouds”.

I have written a poem in response to her word prompt. For the first time, I have tried scribbling a sonnet and written acrostic poem. Hope Brenda and all my hubber friends like it.

His Beautiful Design

Standing in my balcony, gazing the blue sky,

I saw a plane passing through the clouds.

A sudden thought entered my mind, I want to fly,

To see the sky, the clouds shroud.

Filled with excitement for the very first flight,

Luckily got the window seat booked.

Plane take off with a loud whoosh to elevated height,

leaving down the earth’s incredible looks.

Through the white clouds, it then flew,

Flying higher and higher above those cotton balls uncounted,

What came to my glance, He’s breathtaking creation in view?

That left me astounded.

Wide blue sky looks a lot like blue sea,

Icebergs were the clouds I see.

Acrostic Poem

Coolness of eyes

Living all together

Of different shades

Under a radiant sky

Darken to rain

Selfless shine

I love that picture from an airplane window.

Your poem (sonnet), "His Beautiful Design" shows us how you felt the desire to fly like a plane through the clouds.

Then you describe your very first flight sitting by a window seat.

You tell us how those cottonballs looks so much like the breathtaking sea.

Your Acrostic Poem tells us how clouds live all together.

No matter how different they are, they work together for the same outcome.

Darkness to rain

Selfless Shine.

Rozlin

I can remember my first trip on a plane.

I loved having a window seat & the view was spectacular & nothing like what I had imagined.

I wish people could get along like clouds, working together living under the same sky.

But do clouds really get along? Maybe thunderstorms are when they argue.

Nevertheless they are beautiful & so is your work.

I will post a link in the word prompt article.
