BeckyTP formally known as Rebecca Moraa is a student at Moi University Main Campus Kenya. My passion in poetry grew in primary school.

Fingers hitting keys rapid like a fall on rocks
Thoughts running speedy chain indisruptable
I simply soared as the marathon flowed on
She was my catalyst
Fire on ice
I melted at her touch
In reality I was scared
That she got me thinking so much
Yet that moment I was most alive
So I never could stop my mind
She opened me up like a blossom in the sun
Got me feeling all buttery inside
So the moment was life
It was for this that I live
...

She made me realise I wasn't lost after all
I realised I was just taking a break
And I had lost my literal self in process
But the fire she ignited in me was all new
It made me feel like my hand was possessed
Because all I wanted to was create a life
All using my new found pen and ink
I wasn't going to stop at anything..

So as I flowed with the waters
Let myself get lost in the moment
She was my vision of perfection
I had found my angel
On her wings I will soar
So write I shall till my fingers turn sore
This is how it is supposed to be
Now take my hand into the sea
Let's swim through the storm
Voyage across the waters
Speak to the fish
Till ashore we finally arrive

And when we get off the water onto the shores
Our ink will have filled the pages
Or maybe painted our love for the pen galore
It won't be the best in the universe we know
But it will be unique and lovely in its way
We shall have a story to tell, a tale of the aliens from earth
Because we won't be like the rest, we will be different
And when all of our mission are accomplished
We shall sit on the sand beaches and say,
"Hey alien, we did on earth"
