Heavy and Gone
I write, read, crochet, sing, and play musical instruments. A sucker for learning.
September Poem #5
The sun is up again
Light entering through the shut jalousie window
I turn to my side and find it void
of the dents on the foam
caused by the weight of your body
I search for it
Feeling heavy
My eyes scratchy
Blurred even
The supposed weight travel up
to my body
sit on my eyelids
I want to open my eyes but it keeps shutting them
Then an image of you dancing
You're wearing your scrub suit
Eyes on me, you're smiling
Hot tears seethe through
and flows down on my cheeks
The weight evaporates
It's gone
You're gone
