Heavenly Radiance

Updated on January 31, 2018

Shooting forth, bright starlight comes,

As if a gift from the highest of heaven.

Streaks across the emptiness, a void,

From its own origin, the celestial plain.

A beacon of hope in each nighttime sky,

As from a friendly lighthouse on display.

Releases an eruption, of such vibrancy,

Erasing all the darkness, revealing day.

A plume of white so fills the blackness,

Allways present of its reassuring surge.

Cleans the atmosphere of diming smoke,

its curtain of greys, of them, all to purge.

As the sentinel to every evening's sky,

It flashes by so very swiftly in its place.

Gives answers to many old mysteries,

Of a redefining, the Universe, all space.

This sojourner is to be a regular visitor,

Keeping its schedule is forever on time.

Among the stars shining in the heavens,

As of poetry it justifies, always to rhyme.

Beautiful, every vision, of this masterpiece,

A timeless wanderer, at the edge of space.

As if to be sent by God's hands, its journey,

Appears, vanishes from sight, with no trace.

Like a reminder, of the Lord's own promise,

He cares and protects us, no one to refuse.

Celestial salutation, of His hands in the sky.

This brilliant glory, we all to see, by and by.

So remember this prayer when we do see it,

That most vibrant note prepared by our Lord.

Father, thank you, for our blessings, you send,

For each trying day, on you we all so depend. Amen.

I cannot remember ever feeling alone. Maybe once on the midnight walk to our outhouse. First time alone.

But that is small. He walks beside me.
