Heart Today Soul Tomorrow

I'm going to smile at you
And not ask whose flag is in your hand
Human suffering crosses all borders
Does it take a starving child to understand

Human emotion can never die
Even if the world is on fire
Those who remain live with the memory
For their own heart will never be a liar

Beating hearts
Next to your soul
Heart today
Soul tomorrow
Heaven or earth
Still waters at night
Where Gods spirit hovers
Hearing the sounds
Of his mother grieving

You spoke to me now
You trusted me with your anguish
How can I ever answer the question
Is it your faith too he must vanquish?

Beating hearts
Next to your soul
Heart today
Soul tomorrow
Heaven or earth
Still waters at night
Where Gods spirit hovers
Hearing the sounds
Of his mother grieving

Mark, If you were to put precepts upon precepts, like I did with my "Samson Types World End" hub and some of the others, you would be ablate put the pieces of the puzzle the Bible presents into a clear picture.

"The parable the fig tree" was caused when Jesus entered Jerusalem during "passover week" and he cursed the "tree" for not bearing fruit means there was no food for the world provided by the Jews so the curse caused Israel's demise. He told the reaping girls as he carried his cross to "weep for your children and their children" and about 40 years later Israel was destroyed. then Isaiah 11:1-12 tells us about the time Israel is restored from Jesus' curse the "Branch of the Root of Jesse/David" would come. The Psalmist said 80 years is man's life maximum expectancy which would be the passing away of the generation born about the time of Israel's return to Palestine, 1948 + 80 = 2028.

Now look at the "ten virgins" parable and the story of Armageddon for revealing the end and you will see something like this. The virgins represent 10% of the end time's population and the five represent how many of them who will be enter Armageddon, the remaining five become Rev. 6:9-11's dead in Christ who are waiting this world's end who will be replaced by those virgins who don't survive this ending per Rev. 14:13.

That is why I am even writing on here, to reveal what is supposed to happen during these last days, THE TIME IS NOW!!!

Peace!

@Elijah... sorry it took me a bit to get back to you on this. So ten years eh for Gabriel to blow his horn? That's quite a prediction my friend. I think the "abandoned" point of view comes from all the bad things that happen (slavery, the holocaust etc) in clear view of the creator. Why must we suffer to such a deep level? The eternal question...

Elijah A Alexander Jr from Washington, DC USA on October 25, 2018:

No, Mark, we are not abandoned. It was Paul, I believe, who said "the law is a schoolmaster" but few of us [are supposed to] see the law is to "make no judgments based sense perceptions but judge based on what benefits the masses according to the times we are in". That means we have to recognize the plan for earth's existence as foretold in the various religions' scriptures and other sources to see where we are. Today, the earth is within 10 years before this civilization terminates and Revelation 21's replace it after "seven days" of transitioning into it - If you are Bible based in your beliefs.

Mark Lecuona (author) from Austin, Texas on October 25, 2018:

@Elijah - my man. t's awesome that something I write spurs you to dig deeper into it. I always hope my words can stand the scrutiny! I was just proposing the fears that God has abandoned us as some Deists suppose. We suffer and then what? To what purpose? The eternal question.

Mark Lecuona (author) from Austin, Texas on October 25, 2018:

Thank you Peggy. I get caught sometimes being a poet and being a businessman (process; order; laws; regulations etc). I'm not an anarchist but I also recognize human suffering and the hope that our country is supposed to represent. It's tough out there.

Elijah A Alexander Jr from Washington DC on October 22, 2018:

A very powerful poem, Mark, now allow me to answer your question ...

"You spoke to me now

You trusted me with your anguish

How can I ever answer the question

Is it your faith too he must vanquish?"

Life is all about "karma" or "doing something and in return receive the exact same act upon your own life-force in the same body." Because of karma by faith MUST BE we will overcome our judgments of "I like, I hate" brought on because we were programed by our parents, religions, social schooling and peer-pressure to accept the concepts of "good and evil" and will come into the understanding of the purpose for the duality in earth living.

Karma requires us to experience every aspect of existence. Let us say our bodies represent the whole of existence. In order to comprehend the function of our bodies our life-forces have to have been every organ of our body before become the life-force of the body: we also will have to experience every attribute we see in any other human [mind unable to comprehend all things] body before we know the fullness of what man [minds able to comprehend all things with "dominion" - ability to exceed ... - power over our individual bodies [the "earth" per Genesis 1:26-28].

Therefore, No, it isn't our faith "he must vanquish" but "he must and will empower" in when our "earthen" karma is paid in full.

Peggy Woods from Houston, Texas on October 22, 2018:

This is a powerful poem related to all those who suffer and desire a safer way to live. Yes, that does cross all borders, nationalities, and represents maternal love in all religions. Well done!
