Happy Valentine's Day to My Friends

Manatita is an esteemed author living in London, UK. He writes spiritual books, flash fiction and esoteric poetry, his favourite genre.

Welcoming me Home

Dancing elegantly in flamingo style, blue sea
Embellishing our gracefulness,
We march towards the contours of the beach,
Shadowy coconut palms outstretched, sending out their
Solace with the breeze in approval.
Blue skies and verdant foliage, blankets our intimate
Kiss with affection, two swans of golden plume,
At one with the mantle of beauty within.

God’s Love is infinitely more beautiful!
The soul is the paragon of grandeur we don’t see,
The Heart a quintessence of Joy, standing at the portals
Of Paradise, to herald the inward journey.
The Beloved weeps for my arrival, preparing a lavish banquet,
To flood my core with nameless wine, steeped in the music of Love Divine.

February 9th. Manatita, The Lantern Carrier

A Tapestry of Love

Overhanging the lake, a canopy of
Pink peonies hang,
The small dinghy's soak their gleam, amidst
The serene waters. Snow-white clouds, augment
An opalescent sky, invoking the exquisite ambience
Of the surroundings. Light shimmers across the lake,
As a boatman rows, ferrying tourists across,
On this pleasant scenery of sweet memories.

Violas haunt my soul with their magic,
As Your beauty cluster among the flowers.
Love cascading today, like rose-blossoms,
Echoing sweetness in my soul.
Narcissus blends with
Tulips, spreading their delicate wings, while
Iris dance to the melody of
Nymphs, playing their celestial lutes,
Enchantingly mesmerising; creating a tapestry of Love.

A day set apart to think on love. Your verses are beautiful and thank you for the card. When I was feeling flustered I took a deep breath and imagined myself in that little dingy. We have one here. The water is actually a part of our transit system and as I write this I can hear his lonely fog horn in the mists. Much love to you also.

Michael-Milec on February 15, 2020:

You're presenting an exceptional aroma to the world as it is. I vote your poems as a standard means of livelihood the "Valentine's Day" - for every day.

Happy Valentine Day- everyday.

Rosina S Khan on February 15, 2020:

How was your Valentine's Day on the overall? Good?

I had sent you email direct earlier in the day using the address you gave. Did you not get it? Now I have sent you again direct. Please check your email at your convenience.

All the best,

manatita44 (author) from london on February 15, 2020:

Ah, Harish.

Thanks for gracing my work a second time. More joy to you, Bro. Have a great day!

Haha. I actually have quite a few! Goes back a few years but I don't do them often. Jacquie Lawson did it in the card I sent out, so I thought, why not? They are easy for me.

I'm happy that you appreciated the beauty of the poems. Much Love.

You're so kind. You remind me of a sweet song. Haha. Thanks a million!!

Linda C,

Appreciations!! For your kind response and your sentiments. Have a great weekend, God's Grace.

I agree Bro.

We walk from a lesser Light to a greater Light, both necessary for our progress and designed by Love -- the Supreme Alchemist. Praise Be!!

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on February 14, 2020:

What a great day. We set it aside to at least think about love. That is pretty cool. OK it is more about a Cupid's arrow love but I will take it.

manatita44 (author) from london on February 14, 2020:

No Rosina,

if you write to me direct, it might be better. I do not receive anything from Hub pages. I have to go through every name of my friends to know what's going on. A long process. ceeccil@hotmail.com

Yes, it is an acrostic poem. I added the top bit to give it more spice but I could equally have done it with Happy Valentine. You missed out on the Valentine card, as I don't have your address. Use my address and I will receive your message. Cheers.

You're so sweet Nikki and so good to me. Thank you so much!

Very sweet Ruby, very sweet. God is good and all is well, by His Grace. have a great weekend.

Nikki Khan from London on February 14, 2020:

By the way, did you get my new email?

manatita44 (author) from london on February 14, 2020:

Lovely. I'm out. I had walked only 100 metres, when I started to see flowers. Most exquisite too. Who says there's no Love? Lol
