Happy Valentine’s Day Poem: A Brushstroke of Love.

Some of us receive the love of others while some of us have love on hold. In the in between stages of love, take time to be a friend and a lover to yourself. The more you balance out the giving and receiving, the better we are all for it. So, when someone gives to you, do not shy away. Openly receive the goodness that comes your way. If you are a giver and cannot receive, try receiving. See what happens. You may just be pleasantly surprised and relieved. Like and love to you, today.

Here is a poem for you for Valentine’s Day. I hope you enjoy it.

Who is taking care of you today?

Who is taking care of your heart today?

Who is taking care of your soul today?

Who is taking care of you today?

Let the musk red rose petals flurry down,

swim sultrily through the perfumed tumbledown.

Let the dance of the candle flame,

kiss your cheek, with passionate exclaim.

Where are you now?

What stories are flashing across your mind with pow?

What words are passing teasingly,

or sensuously from your lips of appease?

Who now is holding your hand?

Who is allowed to cradle you to dreamland?

Who has your back today?

Who is there solely for you, hey?

Is your hair smooth and silky?

from the languid brushstrokes of ilk?

Did you take time to cleanse

and moisturize your face and body lens?

Is today about feeling guilt,

about wilting,

to a value or code that is quilted?

No matter, right what you can,

and scatter, just like an oleaster.

Or, is today about someone,

shaming you with their shame dance?

Making you feel you are a defect?

They say, you are too happy? too sad? too upset?

It’s them. Not you. Don’t deject.

You are imperfectly perfect.

Don’t think different thoughts unchecked.

Don’t feel different feelings.

Don’t do different things, fledgling.

Go ahead and uncurl

that tight ball of,

unstringed pearls,

you have wrapped yourself up in a whirl,

You are not bad,

ram that barking shame ironclad.

You did nothing wrong,

so, flick the freezing guilt along.

Spend time now,

cushioning your heart to sow,

your soul,

and your body into a new role.

Today say, yes, to thoughts,

that insist on snapshots,

of how well you managed,

and how lovable your challenge is.

Have fun.

Let others earn the run,

of the chimes,

of your laughter a hundred times.

Happy Valentine’s Day, You.

I feel
