Give Me Your Sorrow

It was just another day
What happened to you anyway?
Did you relax and close your eyes
Did someone say things untrue?

I could tell you which train car I was on
The problem is I wasn't, it's just a song
Who cares who was singing
All I remember is somebody smiling

Don’t tell me it’s the end of the world
We have so much, a bounty of cares
But don’t forget, somebody needs our prayers

The sky has forgotten how to cry
The sun doesn't care why
Still the magic hangs in the air
No direction to look, I can only stare

Floating, drifting, by any current coming my way
My sails are full but it’s not always a calm day
I know someone who’s scared about tomorrow
All I want is for her to give me her sorrow

Don’t tell me it’s the end of the world
We have so much, a bounty of cares
But don’t forget, somebody needs our prayers
