She feels as though she is falling
continuously down down down
the world feels like it's moving so much faster
than her and she is trying so hard to keep up
with everyone around her
The more she falls the less she feels
will she hit the ground?
it seems as if it's getting closer and closer
but something out of the blue makes her
feel like she has been caught
She's no longer falling but flying
flying high above the clouds and the world
below her is moving at a slower pace and she
can finally keep up
and she realizes the person who caught
her was herself
She floats back down to earth and reacquaints
with those who surround her and she feels as
though she is free
she realizes that the plummeting was part of a
nightmare and that she is the only one who
will be able to wake herself up or catch herself
when she is falling
Because all she really has in this world is
herself to count on, to keep her company,
to calm her down when everything is moving
all she needs is herself.

Thank you so much Lorna!

You paint a very vivid picture of falling throughout the poem Cassidy with your clever use of words. A nightmare with a twist. Loved it.
