Friends Who Are There

Author:

From One Thought To The Next

Life is funny

We see people every day

Many say hi and they quickly move on there way

Other people find the time to do something really special

They listen and hear

We all have ears and we would look real unbalanced without them

We can all experience the feeling but we don't

Happiness is found in words

Not just the words and their meanings

So much more than that

In the receiving and their connection

To the world we are part of

Kindness that goes without saying

Appreciated for her skills

Rational and logical mind

Interesting and creative

Pain can come in many forms

Some deal with it with medicine

Other people handle it through therapy

If we combine the two

We can have the best of the best

Maybe one day we can give the pain a rest

Kari Poulsen I think so many people might only go in the hospital a few times and their life. When that time comes they don't know what to expect. Anxiety, nervousness, anxious, helplessness are a few feelings that come to mind. They will do all they can to get better and go home. There are also those people who visit hospitals on a regular basis because of ongoing conditions they know the ropes and proper procedure. They may also be a great source of information. Even if that is far as we go. It is nice to share and even allowing ourselves to be vulnerable where other people can relate. When we see the need we also find a way. Thank you for listening and I might have little tidbits that could help you see a clearer picture in your mind. Make it a fun project that when you are bored it is calling your name.

Thank you! That is a really great idea. I wonder how it could be done. Now you have me thinking.

Kari Poulsen I want you to know all my life I have made decisions on what my next move would be. When I got married I made choices that would affect both of my wife and I . I have never been in the position of holding and being responsible for someone's life and future. That is so much pressure and responsibility. You have done that not just once but for years. I know you are retired from your profession but it does not take away the wonderful love and care you have given. For all the people who like me have depended on doctors, nurses and everyone involved in any operation. I think there should be a magazine for those people. Telling their side of the story. Where people can officially thank them if not by name but for the work they have done. I think you could take your talent and make it possible. Just an idea one of many that come to mind often. I get moments of inspiration that come alive and are extremely real. That send chills down my spine. Many ideas are just to be passed on and if the right person can connect with such a thought it can become reality. In the past most of all my ideas become a passing thought. Either the time or the place is not right. So in this later half of my life I will try to make more things happen. If only by spreading my thoughts to those who care. I am glad I could take the pain away even if it was just for a minute.Wishing you a fabulous day.

Jackie Lynnley I have been blessed with good health for the past 53 years. I have real compassion for people that deal with chronic pain mental or physical all there lives. I don't know what it is like to wake up with migraine headaches, depression, arthritis or other problems far worse. As we get older our bodies change and I can only hope with grace and dignity. Thank you for reading and caring. It is so important to live life with love and peace. May the sun heat your path like a warm blanket so beautiful and wonderful.

As we age I am sure we all wish we could give the pain a rest. In more ways than one. Words of wisdom. Great poem.

Gypsy Rose Lee I agree with you the life of a cat looks so great. Our own Charlotte is following Sids footsteps and is sound asleep in her little bed. We have had rain that turned to ice. Still a few inches of snow left on the ground. Snow is part of winter and I love to see the shining, white, fluffy stuff. Just not too much. Do all you can and then let the rest go for another day. Thank you for reading and sharing.

I need to have a bit of sunshine spread about with a good dose of happy smiles. The cold has come and the snow is flying and I think my cat Sid has the right idea. He has gotten into his box, curled up and is dreaming the day away not taking the snow to mind.
