Freedom's Consequences
People hear what you say
They might not forget
The good if they like it
The bad if they don't
All that remained was the regret
You carried when you left
Was it your misunderstanding
Or their disagreeing
With the life you know
And the things you're believing
About places you'll never go
And who gave them the right
To destroy you for your own sense?
I won't tell you what to say
When freedom is about consequence
You don't have to prove a deer walking by
Or a fish that just missed the fly
Whenever you wish say what you saw
And echoes that were spoken well
Are the things the people will recall
And who gave them the right
To destroy you for your own sense?
I won't tell you what to say
When freedom is about consequence
