Flying on Pixie Dust

I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.

Pixie

Pixie

Come take my hand, you have no need to fear

Just a sprinkle of pixie dust and you will become master of the air

Just a dash here and a sprinkle there

Come, take flight, be apart of the higher atmosphere

How amazing it feels to be soaring with birds, seeing things high above this distance

Looking at people scampering around like crazy little ants

Fly over here, we can rest on this cloud for just a little bit

Maybe even play a little game of hop and skip

Isn't flying fun? Up here, high above the chaos below

Playing hide and sneak and throwing hand full of clouds like snow?

I bet if we invited our friends to fly with us it would be so much fun

Sprinkling Pixie dust and giving wings to everyone

We could play tag in the air and do water dives and touch the lilies

Or sneak behind the gents and tap their shoulder and frighten the Misses

Look ahead, Isn't that a rainbow just above the fold?

I wonder, is there really a pot of Gold?

We have wings, let's not wonder, let's fly to the bow and find out

Well, we are at the rainbow and there is no pot of gold

Just a bucket of candies for us kids to hold

But our fairy dust adventures don't just end here

There is a whole world to explore out there

Won't you come with us on our new adventures?

I have Pixie dust for you too, it's much more fun in numbers

We will become masters of the sky, free from the boring slumbers
