Four Acrostic Poems
I must say I'm new to the genre of acrostic poetry. I decided to give it a go. Here are some of my own personal acrostic poems.
My poems come from my experiences and the places I have traveled. Please, feel free to leave a comment below. As always, I look forward to hearing from you.
New York
New city lights on Broadway
Exiciting shows to be watched
Winning fans from far away places but there is
Yonkers rough streets
On a cold winter night
Real life ghetto violence
Killings happening periodically, a storyline of the big apple
Daddy
Doing your best
Always working hard
Determine to make ends meet never
Delaying family time. It is
Your smile I miss the most daddy
Poetry
Please allow me to explore everything
On a paper with my pen in hand. I'm more
Experience than the metaphor's I use to
Take on a good line from each poem I craft
Realism and virtue are my favorites
Yes, I have a big ego. It's more than I'm cut out for
Dear Diary
Dear diary I need you when I'm down. You help me to
Explore my weaknesses and my strengths. I
Admire every word read out loud.
Remembering to keep you safe and secure
Determined to not let you go
I love you more each hour. I know I
Am lucky to call you friend
Returning to you daily for inspiration
Years of pain and happiness summed up in a book
