First Responders

I wrote these song lyrics in dedication to our brave frontline heroes. These lyrics can be sung along to the same beat and rhythm as “Have You Ever Seen The Rain”, by Credence Clearwater Revival. Thank you, dear valiant Heroes!

Have You Ever Seen The Rain? CCR

First Responders, Brawn and Brains

When you walk by

the ground quakes

Pure golden hearts

are heavy weight...

First Responders, Brawn and Brains

Sirens shrieking, lights aglow

Brawn and brains, so humble though

I know, you’re my heroes for all time

In the background making way

Saving us again today

You know, staving back death-monsters

I beg to know

First Responders, brawn and brains,

I need to know

What keeps heroes sweet and sane

Facing the abyss ev’ry day?

Epic monsters die, but then

New ones rise up once again

I know, mean beasts come back ev’ry day

Till forever, monsters grin

But brawn still glows, brains still spins

I know, you fight through the thunder

I long to know

First Responders, brawn and brains,

You need to know

When you walk by the ground quakes

Pure golden hearts are heavy weight

Yeah!

I beg to know

First Responders, brawn and brains

I need to know

What keeps you sweet though First Rate?

This must be why foundations quake.

First Responders, Brawn and Brains

Epic monsters die,

but then

New ones rise up

once again...

These song lyrics also contain a deeper message pertaining to Heroes and PTSD.

This is a fitting tribute. Firefighters helped to extinguish my parents' house fire back in the 1990s and over the years there have been an incident or two when EMS was also helpful.
