Overview of Three Poems
This article had three poems based on the 32nd prompt of Brenda Arledge. She has truly been an inspiration to me to write poetry or short stories. Acrostic Poem
Fear can be understood when met face on
Always know decision is the key to change
Every decision is a very important choice
Rising to the challenge to have a good result
Sonnet
Fear will pursue you always every day
You can run for your life for many days
The stalker follows you into the maze
Never quitting despite desperate plays
Legs getting tired as we are pursued
Gasping for breath as I try to run fast
Fear still dominates my pourly sour mood
Hoping every day will not be my last
Exhausting this stress consumes my one thought
Yet all of this maybe all be for nought
6 Signs Of An Emotionally Abusive
Her Fear
This poem talks about a woman in an abusive relationship, and she does not know how to escape it.
She was happy on the day she wed
Thinking he was her partner so she said
What would happen in the days ahead
Fear would haunt her wherever she fled
The bliss was superb when they met
She thought he was foolish to be in debt
Now she really wanted to not be upset
Fear would never let her just to forget
He was so much fun when they met at first
However their relationship was the worst
He hit and punched her, she was coerced
Fear filled her when anger was dispersed
If she just smiled pretending all was well
The days she lived were much like a hell
So much happened, she could not tell
Fear consumed her, she could not rebel
How to quickly escape this horrible life
She couldn’t get away from this awful strife
It was like being cut with a very sharp knife
Fear paralysed her and she felt paralyzed
Life overwhelmed her each and every day
She knew she did not want him to stay
Help was needed for her to make a play
Longed for just a much better today
As weeks go on can't she ever be free
At what expense or to what little degree
She wants to to flee, shs’e never lazy
Fear may stop her but he is on a spree
One day she must escapes or she will die
She truly just wants to just say a goodbye
She ponders her situation and wonders why
Fear again stops, once again hear her cry
6 Signs Of Abused People Who Have Been
Domestic abuse is a coercive, controlling behavior. Women in particular can get caught up in this pattern of behavior and not know how to escape. This can occur in any gender, age, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, or social circumstance. It is a problem worldwide.
