Father, You Will Be Missed
The news of your passing away struck us really deep,
It dug within us a hole so steep.
To acknowledge your absence in our lives still remains
A very difficult task even now,
That we've seen your lifeless body being laid;
It’s still next to impossible to think you are no more.
You only said to us that you are going for a workshop and will be back,
But you've been gone for too long,
Come back to where you belong.
And we wait in vain to say "welcome home".
We would pay whatever price to have satisfaction to this hunger of being with you always;
We would give everything to have the thirst of our questions of "why" quenched;
Why, why, why, we still ask.
Why now, why so soon, why didn't or couldn't you even give us a hint?
But apparently death has cheated us the joy of your presence.
And yet again, man can neither comprehend nor reverse what's been done.
We may ask and question ourselves but we know only God has the answers.
For heaven knows where you are going,
And we will all get there; indeed, heaven knows how we will get there.
It will be long though and we know,
But without you, our road will now be muddy and rough.
But we will get there, yes, heaven knows we will get there.
The void you have left in us we can never fill,
But the memories of you we will cherish till,
The day we can all be together again in joy,
Memories of you and your legacy will forever live on.
Rest in perfect peace father, we will forever love you
