Family is so very Precious!

Always love your family,

Never look around.

Beware of being distracted,

Only love keeps you strong and connected.

Children grow up so quickly,

These moments won't return after.

But such memories will fill your limbs with joy,

One day when you'd explore the past again.

A period would come to feel the pain,

The misery of old age will occupy your soul.

There won't be any escape,

Yes those esteemed treasures would let you live again.

Remember to stop for once,

And sneak into such valued things.

To gather some jewels of time,

Which would entertain you in alone and sad nights.

Cherish the beauty of love and kindred,

This gives you more strength in hard hours.

A smile on the lips of your beloved minor,

Makes you forget all the pain at once.

Keep this heart alive and beating,

Face the pitfalls with a soulful mind.

Don't forget to look into the eyes of your little ones,

To let your inner self adored with roses of pretty beams.

Be grateful for such moments

Yet gratefulness brings you more joy,

To embrace the spirit of true love.

Moments of harmony fill your heart up,

With some golden leaves of laugh and happiness.

Blissful are those who rejoice this sweet juice,

Of family tree which blossoms more with warmth of emotions.

This kindness of love will never go astray,

It would bring back what you spend today.

Nobody would take such juncture away,

They will stay close to you to admire always.

The arms of your child would stay around you forever,

To make the delights of today the best memories of tomorrow.

Family Time!

I appreciate your comment about importance of a family. Kids grow up so quickly, I’m experiencing it now.It just seems yesterday my kids were born, time has passed over so quick.

And now they are big enough to question me and sometimes correct me which is so fascinating and beautiful in itself.

Bless you and your family dear!

You’re right here, life is so busy these days but still we should catch up with such great moments with our children which would bring us more closer to them which is very important to create a strong bond between us and our children.

Great poetry exploring the family topic. Children grow up quickly. This is great advice. There are so many pressures on our time these days. Family time should be a high priority.

Peg Cole from Northeast of Dallas, Texas on April 24, 2018:

Great advice in poetic form for seizing the moment. Children grow up way too fast and their childhood is so precious. Loved your prose.

You show an amazing clarity, Nikki.

Thanks Manatita ji for visiting and for sharing your valuable thoughts!

‘Never look around’ is a key to a happy family life as distractions can take you far away from love and family.Spirtuality is more tough on that as you’ve to get on one path without getting distracted, even family gets far behind as spiritual journey connects you to God and first rule is to clear your heart from all worldly things to get the light of God’s love.

You’re on very tough journey, May God give you more strength to achieve all paths of divine love.

Bless you and your family brother awlays!

Nikki Khan (author) from London on April 24, 2018:

Thanks Linda for coming and for giving me your appreciation!

I’m glad you loved reading it and took a tip to remember, time spent with kids and family is indeed like jewels of time which never returns as time flies so fast and kids grow up so quickly.

And one day you get a leave to eternity leaving all behind but still you take such jewels of time with you to cherish.

May God bless you and your family always dear!

Nikki Khan (author) from London on April 24, 2018:

I’m honoured by such an inspiring comment from a great poet like you as I’m just learning poetry, this genre is bit new for me.

Family is the most important thing to adore and love, May God bless you and your family forever and ever after.

Nikki Khan (author) from London on April 24, 2018:

Thanks Sean Brother for a wonderful comment and insight!

You are a huge courage for me to write more like a true brother, bless you and your family always for that.

Family is another name of sacrifice too as you eventually learn to give more than you get in return but still it’s the most valuable thing on earth of God.

Lucky are those who have this sacred thing, life is so miserable without kids and family.

manatita44 from london on April 23, 2018:

Very important and you have mentioned this not looking around in different Hubs of yours. So essential for a happy life of togetherness. The spiritual life is just like that, a one-pointed devotion to our ideal, otherwise we turn around to face distractions, like Lot's wife, and become pillars of salt. Great moral lessons in so many of your Hubs. Excellent work!!

Linda Crampton from British Columbia, Canada on April 23, 2018:

A family filled with love is very precious. I love the thought of gathering jewels of time. I will remember this suggestion.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on April 23, 2018:

Tim Truzy from U.S.A. on April 23, 2018:

Wonderful poetry, Nikki. I love the images you paint with your words. Family is precious, indeed.

Bless yours.

May you know happiness with your husband and children for many, many, years.

Sincerely,

Tim

So beautiful my sister, so true. I believe that through family and especially through your children you can know what really Love is.

You learn to love someone more than your self and then you meet happiness!

Thank you for one more lovely piece of your Heart!

God bless all families!

It certainly does go by quickly when you look back on it, although when you’re in the middle of it, it may not seem that way.

Mary Norton from Ontario, Canada on April 23, 2018:

Family is there for us all the time. Yesterday, we were with our eldest grandchild and his girlfriend and we had fun reminiscing the early years. Memories - jewels of time - traditions-they are important.

Ann Carr from SW England on April 23, 2018:

I like 'gather some jewels of time'; great phrase!

It's true that family and children keep you young, give you sweet memories and refresh your mind when you think of them. I have five grandchildren and they keep me young and more active than I probably would be otherwise. We should all cherish our families.

Ann
