Welcome
To the third edition of faithful poems from beach. In this issue I’ve included poems inspired by seeking to live a faithful and outgoing life. It is hard at times to live in a place where what you value is different than what you see around you.
I came to live near the beach in order to seek a peaceful last few years of my life. Still here it is not always paradise. There are times I shake my head and say why do people seek to do these things or each other.
I turn to art and writing to seek solace. These poems as in all my writing comes from what I see and hear. I hope you enjoy these poems. Until next time stay safe in the current Covid world and stay strong and faithful.
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
God does not want us to sit around and be quiet. He wants us to get out there and tell others the truth as found in His Word. He doesn’t want us to be kittens he wants us to be out there roaring like a lion. However we are not to be offensive but loving with our message.
Let’s ROAR
It’s not time for you to be counted
Among those of the silent majority
It’s time to have your voice be heard
It’s time for you stand up and roar
ROAR
Shout out, Shout out in the name of Jesus
ROAR
In silence nothing will ever happen
In silence nothing will,ever change
So Roar
Shout out, Shout out in the name of Jesus
Let others know there is another way
To live this life, to spend all, their days
In freedom from all the cares and worries
So still the world around that Jesus saves
ROAR
Shout out, shout out the name of Jesus
ROAR
It’s not time for you to be counted
Among those of the silent majority
It’s time to have your voice be heard
It’s time for you stand up and roar
Matthew 7:24
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
How well we stand in times of trouble depends on where we put our trust and faith.
Will I Stand
Will I stand or will I fall
When the wind blows
My foundation is rocked
Will I stand tall or will I crumble
Or Give in to the temptations
Which assail me
Will I stand or will I fall
Make the wrong choice
Which ruins it all
No Lord
May I always be
A man of integrity
Chasten my heart Lord
To make the right choice
Proverbs 24:16
”For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.”
When you put your faith and trust in the something other then God’s Word you’re gonna stumbled and fall.
Rise Up
Rise up, rise up all ye people
Rise up, rise up all ye people
Rise up, rise up, rise up
Stand on your feet, get up, go out
Show the world there is no doubt
Jesus is the Lord and Savour of all
He is the one who will not let you fall
People of faith have been quiet to long
Letting the world sing the wrong song
It’s time for the voices of faith to ring
To let the world know the true blessing
Rise up, rise up all ye people
Rise up, rise up all ye people
Rise up, rise up, rise up
Stand on your feet, get up, go out
Show the world there is no doubt
Jesus is the Lord and Savour of all
He is the one who will not let you fall
Rise up, rise up, stand on your feet
Give the world an old but new beat
Tell them it’s come to make a achange
Tell them they’re why the Lord Jesus came
Rise up, rise up all ye people
Rise up, rise up all ye people
Rise up, rise up, rise up
Stand on your feet, get up, go out
Show the world there is no doubt
Jesus is the Lord and Savour of all
He is the one who will not let you fall
Isaiah 41:10
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
You are always going to have tough times where fear will seek to overwhelm you. Those are the times when you must remember to,put your faith and trust in God. The writer of the poem “Footprints” put it this way:
“He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."
Fear Not
Fear not
Where God leads you
To the lions den
Or the fiery pit
God is with you
Walking alongside
He’ll lift you up
When you are down
He’ll give you rest
When you’re worn out
He’ll give you the truth
When you have doubts
Alone, alone
You’re never alone, alone
When you’re in God’s hands
You’re never alone
We were never created
To handle our lives alone
God fights every battle
With you not
Alone, alone
You’re never alone, alone
When you’re in God’s hands
You’re never alone
John 15:19
“If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”
The Bible states that as a follower of will find people treating you differently beciause of what you believe.
The Freak
Some people call me a foolish man
Some people call me a Jesus freak
Some people call me self righteous
Cause I speak of true love, God’s love
People like to talk about me lately
Say I’ve got it all wrong, all wrong
Well I don’t worry, don’t worry what people say
Cause I’m right here, right here, right here, right here
Following God,
Cause I’m a believer
I’m a follower
And I’m a disciple
But I’m still a sinner
Thankfully Forgiven by God’s Son
I’m a lover
I’m a friend
I’m a brother
I sure don’t hate no one
I’m a believer
I’m a follower
I’m still a sinner
But I’m a lover of God
And of all my fellow man
I’m a lover
I’m a friend
I’m a brother
I give my lovin to everyone
Ooh wooh ooh wooh
God’s word speaks the truth, you’ll see
His word opens your heart
Helps you to feel so free
Love him so much more
Some Final Words
There you have five poems of faith and living a faithful life. It is hard nowadays to live in a world which seems to be turning a little upside down. Still we are called to stand and shine the true light of Jesus. This means putting your faith into action no matter what comes your way.
