Fair Play -- Something for Gods to Laugh About: A Rhyme With Food for Thought
Val enjoys writing his own style of what resembles poetry, just hoping to catch someone's heart on the same page.
A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.
-- Charles Spurgeon
If national interests were really all that clean
while requiring military or economic pressure
whole world would do it, you know what I mean
if not out of a need, but for sheer power pleasure.
So why don't we hear about such honest deals
practiced by every country across all the board
if not seeing through unfairness that it conceals
of enjoying the justice of having a bigger sword.
Isn't it fair to stay inside of our boarders
not sticking our nose into world's affairs
instead of giving around arrogant orders
replacing a peace dream with nightmares.
If we condemn all Hitlers, Napoleons, and alike
and boast about our benevolent and fair plays
why do we need something like military strike
if our fairness would insist on peaceful ways.
So, who are we kidding, or do we even care
as we have justice-of-stronger on our side
being the ones who define what is fair
entitled to take the world for a ride.
Isn't that something like the religious deal
"we preach and teach, but follow we do not"
in a god's name we love by rules of an ordeal
and it's not about fairness, but not being caught.
