I Exist

I Exist.

I Exist

I sit and watch the world going by and understand that I am but one among billions. All I want is to be seen.

I sit here invisible, crying out among the masses to touch me, to help me, to solidify my spirit, to acknowledge that I am real, that I EXIST.

Please see me. Please feel me.

Don't let me lose my anchor to this world. I watch as the chains start to dim, start to fluctuate, that word carved on every link...EXISTENCE.

Please don't let those chains break, confirm who I am, confirm that the steps I take leave a print behind. Help me to confirm who I am, that.... " I AM ."

Don't let me fool myself, don't let me fade away, please before I dissappear, help me EXIST!!

Very strong poem to want others to remember you are here.

It reminds me of seeing a house I once lived in...now torn down. There is no site of it anywhere.. which makes me think that's what it will be like when I too am gone. No one will remember, it will be like I never existed.

I wish we could all Exist.

Thank you so much Lora!

It makes me happy that I able to translate my emotions through my poetry, I was always afraid that I was the only one who understood!

Thank you Lora!

I look forward to reading your articles as well!

A very powerful poem, Chris. Your words really get the message across in vivid imagery of what we all fear most- that the memory of us will disappear from this earth when we pass. We want our lives to count especially among our family, friends, and leave something of ourselves behind. Very well done! Thanks for sharing.
